About Perro Negro

Spanish tapas
in Victoria
since 2014.

A Spanish taperia that opened on Yates Street in the summer of 2014. Tapas, sherry, Spanish wine, and an unhurried table.

The room

Small on purpose.

One upstairs dining room on Yates Street. Shared plates, a tight pour list, and a room that sits a flight of stairs above downtown.

Plates arrive when they're ready. Start with a few things, order more as you go.

How the kitchen works.

The menu is built for sharing: Spanish snacks, charcuteria, croquetas, patatas bravas, seafood, vegetables, grilled plates, and Basque cheesecake. Cooked simply, so the ingredients stand out.

Wine and sherry.

Expect dry fino, manzanilla, oloroso, Pedro Ximenez, Spanish reds and whites, cava, vermut, cocktails, and local BC bottles poured for the food on the table.

Downtown Victoria.
